Werribee South Beach Triathlon will also host the Oceania Triathlon Junior Championships and Oceania Triathlon Junior Mixed Relay Championships.
Junior athletes will have the opportunity to secure a spot on the Australian Team (Junior category) to compete at the 2022 World Triathlon Sprint & Relay Championships with automatic selection up for grabs as part of the 2022 Oceania Triathlon Junior Championships. Selection Policy available here.

TRIATHLON AUSTRALIA (TA) DRAFT LEGAL MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED
To participate in the Werribee South Beach Triathlon athletes are required to hold an 2021-22 Triathlon Australia membership (Standard or Premium):
- Youth – must hold a Draft Legal credential (2007-2008 D.O.B)
- Junior – must hold a Draft Legal credential (2003-2006 D.O.B)
- Multiclass – must hold a TA Standard or Premium membership

RACE COMPETITION RULES
World Triathlon and Triathlon Australia rules for Draft Legal events apply at this event. This includes rules relating to bikes, wheels (UCI approved), handle bar and wetsuits. We strongly encourage all athletes to read the rules and adhere to them. It is the athlete and coach’s responsibility to know and understand the World Triathlon and Triathlon Australia rules.
Technical Delegate and Race Referee will be available for Q&A on Friday 29 April 2022, between 4pm – 6pm at the Holiday Inn, 22 Synnot St, Werribee Victoria 3030.

UNIFORM RULES
All Youth and Junior athletes competing must wear a race suit that meets the World Triathlon uniform guidelines (consider Surname, Country Code “AUS”, rear zip and logo size). The World Triathlon Uniform Guidelines can be found below

If an athlete does not have a World Triathlon compliant race suit, they may compete in a “clean skin” race suit with no sponsors or markings at all.

The event site is situated in Melbourne’s west, a 40 minute journey from Melbourne Airport and some 30km from the CBD.
The Holiday Inn (2 Synnot Street, Werribee) is proudly supporting the event and has a number of rooms reserved on a first come basis. It is a short 20 min drive from race site and part of the IHG Hotel and Resorts Group. SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Further to the entry terms and conditions please note the following special conditions:
- Entry to this event comprises entry to the Mixed Relay (MR) and relevant Youth & Junior Individual events
- Following the close of entries, a list of competitors will be provided to the State Pathway Leads and the National Development Coach to select MR teams in accordance with the relevant state selection process.
- Teams will be selected in the first instance as state teams, with all athletes selected into a team (which may ultimately be a mixture of state/territories).
