Victorian coaches Patrick Legge from NRG Lab and Clint van Beveren from Mercury Performance Coaching join expert bike fitter Ken Ballhause from Adaptive Human Performance and TJ Tollakson from Dimond Bikes, one of the fastest bikes on the circuit, to explore the finer details of the bike leg to help enhance your racing.

TJ Tollakson (Dimond Bikes)

TJ Tollakon is the owner of Dimond Bikes and CEO of Ruster Sports. Tollakson began racing in 2001 and was a force to be reckoned with on the bike course.

Ken Ballhause (Adaptive Human Performance)

With a Bachelor of Exercise & Sports Science and Bachelor Health Science (Clinical Myotherapy), Ken’s background in cycling began with mountain bikes, racing downhill at both a State and National level. His interest in cycling is now focused on road and endurance track racing, coinciding with the diversity of options available locally in Melbourne. Adaptive Human Performance (Adaptive HP) was born out of knowledge and passion for the sport of cycling. Through seeing the gap which exists between the services that even professional cyclists have access to, and the services that can be offered when a scientific approach is taken, the idea for Adaptive HP emerged.

Patrick Legge (NRG Lab)

A Myotherapist and Sports Massage therapist, Patrick has been lucky enough to work with elite athletes across triathlon, athletics, swimming and cycling. This work saw him seconded to the AIS and VIS triathlon programs, and work with the USA’s triathlon program, where he has learn from some of the best Soft Tissue Therapists, Osteopaths and Physiotherapists in the world.

Clint van Beveren (Mercury Performance Coaching)

Clint has been racing triathlon for almost 20 years. He has raced competitively at the age group level and competed at World Championships at the Sprint, Standard, Cross, Duathlon, Long Course, 70.3 and Ironman distances. Race highlights include an ITU Sprint Distance Age Group Gold Medal in Beijing, 2011 and an Hawaii Ironman PB of 9:18. Clint is the head coach of Mercury Performance Coaching and Bayside Triathlon Club in south eastern Melbourne.
