And just like that, a new Triathlon season is upon us as Triathlon Victoria today announces the 2022/23 Victorian State Series.
Age-group athletes will battle at the best events Victoria has to offer in hopes of being name State Series Champion. While affiliated clubs and squads will be hoping their members can put in the performances needed to secure the State Series Shield.
The 12 race series kicks off in September at the brand new Caribbean Gardens course for the Victorian Duathlon Championships and sees a plethora of points available variety of multisport events across the season.
Double points are up for grabs at six State Championship events, along with another six events offering opportunities to secure valuable State Series points.
Last seasons Series was tightly contested with many of the top athletes in many age groups separated by just a few points come seasons end, as well as a tie for the title in some cases.
