The Triathlon Victoria Board is pleased to update clubs on the progress towards the ‘Future Operating Model’ (FOM) which will see the Triathlon Victoria’s workforce align with Triathlon Australia. We are delighted to announce that Murray Newham as the State Services Manager for Victoria and Nadelle Legge as the Club Officer, Participation and Programs for Victoria. (Murray and Nadelle start on 21 February and 16 February respectively).
Murray is passionate about getting people engaged and enjoying sport, with over 11 years’ experience designing and delivering sporting events, programs and initiatives. He has worked for several sporting organisations including Rugby League and Cricket throughout Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia; most recently leading and expanding participation in sport with the NSW Office of Sport.
Murray’s strong administration and stakeholder engagement skills, and his extensive work history supporting clubs and competitions, will be helpful in building capacity and capability within triathlon. He has taken to the ‘starting line’ as a triathlete and enjoys keeping active and fit through a range of sports.
Nadelle joins triathlon after a dozen years with the Australian Human Resource Institute (AHRI), where she most recently worked as the Team Lead – Member and Industry engagement, and most recently was responsible for the successful implementation of a new CRM system.
Nadelle has previously competed as a professional triathlete – so we’re excited by her passion for triathlon, and health and fitness generally. Nadelle’s strengths in stakeholder engagement, database management and organisational culture will be a great benefit to the triathlon community.
