Racing returned to Melbourne this weekend, with the 2XU Triathlon Series back in action at Elwood.
With Age Group ITU World Championship qualifying up for grabs and the Australian Sprint Championship, it was a mega weekend for multisport.
Beckworth Racing’s Craig Davis crossed the line in a scorching 0:58:10.7, followed by Mitchell Kibby from i4Coaching in 0:58:28.9 and
Lachlan Wright, from Triathlon Adventures Geelong, took out third with a time of 1:01:42.8.
In the Male Elite, Mitchell Kibby (0:58:28.9), Dylan Holland (1:01:44.9) and Nic Lukies (1:02:03.5) from Elite Triathlon Performance Australia went one, two, three.
Sophie Perry (1:07:09.5), Rebecca Henderson (1:07:46.8) from Casey Cardinia Triathlon Squad and Stephanie Demestichas (1:09:30.7) from Elite Triathlon Performance Australia took out the Female Elite top-3.
The Male Open saw the Western Suburbs Triathlon Club dominate, with Shannon O’Brien over the line for first (1:02:17.5), while fellow club member Ben Galea took out third place (1:04:49.2) after Levi Hauwert (1:03:52.4), who claimed second.
The girls backed this up in the female open with Abi Hyndman (1:09:47.7) Stacey Hogan (1:13:44.7) and Megan Howell (1:20:10.2) rounding out the top-3 finishers.
