Emmaus introduced the T2G program for season 2019-20 following a chance enquiry to Triathlon Victoria, looking for assistance ‘to offer triathlon at our school, so students have more choices for how to get involved in physical activity’.
With existing partnerships at training facilities nearby, the Tuesday before-school swim and Wednesday after-school bike and run, fit perfectly into the busy schedules of students. With further support and endless enthusiasm from local club Ringwood Tri Club coach Trevor Buchanan, the program has seen 15 students participate regularly and all thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to experience a 2XU triathlon event just before the Christmas break.
