The abruptness of the season end shocked us all, and we’re coming to grips with both the personal and professional impact of the government’s COVID-19 restrictions.
These restrictions and event postponements have impacted our State Series and Annual Awards Breakfast. The Triathlon Victoria staff and Board understand that, while not critical in comparison to the health crisis gripping Australia, these are events are important to you as members and demonstrate individual and club energy and investment.
The Triathlon Victoria Board approved the following at their meeting on April 1 in relation to our State Series and Annual Awards Breakfast.
- The 2019-20 State Sprint Championships will be held at the 2XU Triathlon Series finale on October 25, 2020
- The 2019-20 State Standard distance Championships will not be held.
- The 2019-20 State Series Champions (Club and Individual) will be calculated from the races completed to date and the Sprint Championships (2XU Triathlon Series finale 25/10/2020)
- The 2020 Triathlon Victoria Annual Awards Breakfast will be held on Saturday, November 14 (venue TBC).
