Triathlon Victoria staff and volunteers were out in force on Sunday at the 2XU Triathlon Series collecting donations for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.
Thanks to Brian Hinton and members of the Mornington Peninsula Triathlon Club(MPTC), $587.00 was collected for the Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund.
We thank the triathlon community for their generosity and acknowledge that people have, and continue to, make personal contributions in whichever way they can.
While a modest total, we believe every little bit counts and the Triathlon Victoria Board have agreed to match this amount to bring donations to $1174.00.
As the bushfire crisis continues, the triathlon community will rally with further fundraising and donation efforts. To those affected, you stay in our thoughts and we praise you for your bravery and courage.
