Triathlon Victoria is delighted to announce the second annual Victorian Coaching Conference, held on Saturday November 23 at Lakeside Stadium.
With a theme of ‘Changing Paradigms’, the Conference will see coaches come together with a range of experts and sports professionals to focus on how they can work to increase the effectiveness of their coaching.
Led by the National Coaching Coordinator, Graeme Hill, the Conference is set to follow a holistic, athlete centred model that provides coaches with hands-on opportunities, including live run technique analysis and tech experiences.
Triathlon Victoria Development & Administration Coordinator, Robbie Wallace said that the Coaching Conference provides a fantastic opportunity for coaches to explore new techniques and ideas within their coaching, as well as share their own experiences with like-minded colleagues.
“As coaches we should be constantly striving to learn and improve and the conference provides the opportunity to add new ideas and concepts to our coaching toolbox,” Wallace said.
“It’s not every day you get to sit down with leading experts and pick their brains on how you can become a better coach.”
“Not to mention, getting to do all of that alongside fellow coaches and continue to grow your professional network.”
Coaches from across Victoria and Australia are invited to attend the Conference, with discussion largely focusing on the additional perspectives and tools that coaches can utilise to help their athletes perform at their best.
To cap off the weekend, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in the inaugural ‘Fastest Coach in Australia’ race on the Sunday morning. Challenge your fellow coaches in a fast-paced multisport race, before networking over breakfast (not included) afterwards.
Tickets to the 2019 Coaching Conference are on sale now, with a limited number of earlybird tickets on sale to Triathlon Australia members at $85. Non-Triathlon Australia members can purchase tickets at $150.
The Conference ticket includes a full day of presentations, as well as buffet lunch, afternoon snacks, as well as tea & coffee.
Keep an eye on the Triathlon Victoria Facebook, Twitter and Instagram over the coming weeks as well announce further Conference details including presenters and topics.
